7-Eleven, stop selling
chicken cruelty
Tell 7-Eleven that you want higher animal welfare standards
In Australia, chickens are selectively bred to grow too big and fast for their own bodies to handle. This means they often suffer chronic pain and health issues. They don’t get enough space, light, or clean air. And they are killed using outdated, inhumane methods.
That’s not good enough. It’s time for Aussie chickens to get a better life.
The Better Chicken Commitment targets these welfare issues, calling for a switch to:
Higher welfare, slower growing chicken breeds
Comfortable, healthy living conditions, where each chicken has enough space, light and clean air
Slaughter methods that are more humane, with effective stunning and no live shackling
While 7-Eleven in Denmark and Norway have signed the Better Chicken Commitment, here in Australia we’re still waiting for a commitment to higher welfare.
Tell 7-Eleven Australia’s leadership that it’s time for them to be an animal welfare leader.
